Lake Mburo National Park Uganda is situated in Mbarara District is about 4 hours away drive from Kampala. Lake Mburo national park Lies in the one part of the Uganda covered in extensive acacia woodland, grassland, markedly with different fauna to other National parks and reserves. Lake Mburo is the best park in the country to see the gigantic land antelope, zebra, topi, impala, introduced in the wildlife species is the Giraffe and several acacia associated birds.
The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles, the Eland, Topis, Impalas, zebras and variety of water birds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the Sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus Gonalek. L. Mburo is the closest park to Kampala and offers a refreshing stopover when traveling or from the western parks and reserves.
Size ;371 sq Km;Getting there and away :3.5 hours west of Kampala along Masaka- Mbarara road turning left at Sanga. The rest camp is 20 Km further on.
